Αρμοδιότητες Μονάδας Ασφάλειας και Προστασίας

1. Η Μονάδα λειτουργεί σε επίπεδο Τμήματος και έχει ως αποστολή :
   (i) την οργάνωση, την κινητοποίηση και τη δράση των υπηρεσιών του ΠΑ.Δ.Α. σε περίπτωση έκτακτης ανάγκης ή σε καιρό πολέμου,
   (ii) την εφαρμογή και αξιολόγηση της πολιτικής και των μέτρων για θέματα προστασίας και ασφάλειας εντός των χώρων του Πανεπιστημίου με στόχο την εξασφάλιση της ομαλής και αδιάλειπτης άσκησης των εκπαιδευτικών, ερευνητικών, διοικητικών και λοιπών δραστηριοτήτων του ΠΑ.Δ.Α., και
   (iii) την υποστήριξη της Επιτροπής Ασφάλειας και Προστασίας  του ΠΑ.Δ.Α. κατά την άσκηση των αρμοδιοτήτων της. 
2. Το Τμήμα υπάγεται στον  Πρύτανη ή στον από αυτόν οριζόμενο Αντιπρύτανη και είναι αρμόδιο για:

• Την εξασφάλιση της ομαλής και εύρυθμης λειτουργίας του ΠΑ.Δ.Α.,
• Τη φύλαξη των υποδομών και εγκαταστάσεων του ΠΑ.Δ.Α.,
• Την κατάρτιση ειδικού προγράμματος για την αντιμετώπιση εκτάκτων αναγκών (πόλεμος, σεισμοί, πυρκαγιά, πλημμύρες),
• Τη συνεργασία με την Περιφέρεια για τον συντονισμό των ενεργειών σε περίπτωση έκτακτης ανάγκης,
• Τη μέριμνα για την κατάρτιση προγράμματος ενημέρωσης του προσωπικού και παρακολουθεί την πορεία εφαρμογής του από τις αρμόδιες υπηρεσίες,
• Τη μέριμνα για τον καθορισμό χώρων ασφαλούς συγκέντρωσης του προσωπικού σε περιπτώσεις έκτακτης ανάγκης, τους οποίους φροντίζει να διατηρούνται κατάλληλοι για το σκοπό αυτό,
• Τον σχεδιασμό δράσεων και την υποβολή εισηγήσεων προς την Επιτροπή Ασφάλειας και Προστασίας για την ενίσχυση του επιπέδου προστασίας των υποδομών και του εξοπλισμού του ΠΑ.Δ.Α.,
• Την υποστήριξη του Πρύτανη ή του υπό αυτόν οριζόμενο Αντιπρύτανη, σε θέματα  προστασίας, ασφάλειας και πολιτικής σχεδίασης εκτάκτου ανάγκης, καθώς και της Επιτροπής Ασφάλειας και Προστασίας του ΠΑ.Δ.Α.  για την άσκηση των αρμοδιοτήτων της,
• Τον σχεδιασμό προγραμμάτων, δράσεων, σεμιναρίων, ενημερωτικού χαρακτήρα εκδηλώσεων και άλλων συναφών δράσεων και πρωτοβουλιών, σε συνεργασία με φορείς του δημοσίου τομέα ή κοινωνικούς φορείς, με σκοπό την ευαισθητοποίηση των μελών της Ακαδημαϊκής Κοινότητας σχετικά με την προληπτική αντιμετώπιση της παραβατικής συμπεριφοράς, καθώς και για την αντιμετώπιση έκτακτων καταστάσεων,
• Την τήρηση μητρώου όλων των μέσων, ηλεκτρονικών συστημάτων και τεχνολογικού εξοπλισμού ασφάλειας που εγκαθίστανται στους χώρους του Πανεπιστημίου και την εκπόνηση σχεδίων ασφάλειας και αντιμετώπισης καταστροφών, σε συνεργασία με τους αρμόδιους φορείς της Πολιτείας,
• Τη ρύθμιση κάθε άλλου θέματος πολιτικής σχεδίασης εκτάκτου ανάγκης, σύμφωνα με τις ισχύουσες διατάξεις,
• Κάθε άλλη αρμοδιότητα που προβλέπεται από τις σχετικές διατάξεις της εκάστοτε ισχύουσας νομοθεσίας.

Security and Protection Unit

From an administrative point of view, the Security and Protection Unit corresponds to a Department

Responsibilities

1. The Unit operates at Department level and has as its mission:

(i) The organization, mobilization and action of the services of the University of West Attica (UNIWA) in case of emergency or in time of war;

(ii) The implementation and evaluation of the policy and the measures pertaining to  protection and security issues within the premises of the University with the aim of ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted exercise of the educational, research, administrative and other activities of the UNIWA; and

(iii) The support of the Security and Protection Committee of UNIWA in the exercise of its powers.

2. The Unit appertains to the Rector or the Vice-Rector designated by the former and is responsible for:

(i) Ensuring the smooth and orderly operation of the UNIWA

(ii) Safeguarding the infra-structure and facilities of the UNIWA

(iii) Drawing up a special program to deal with emergencies (war, earthquakes, fire, floods)

(iv) Cooperation with the Region to coordinate actions in the event of an emergency

(v) Ensuring the preparation of an information program for the staff and monitoring the course of its implementation by the competent agencies

(vi) Ensuring the determination of safe gathering areas for the staff in emergency situations and ensuring that such areas are kept suitable for the said purpose

(vii) Planning actions and submitting proposals to the Security and Protection Committee to strengthen the level of protection of the infra-structure and equipment of the UNIWA

(viii) Supporting the Rector or the Vice-Rector designated by the former, in matters of protection, security and emergency policy planning, as well as the Security and Protection Committee of the UNIWA for the exercise of its powers

(ix) The planning of programs, actions, seminars, informative events and other related actions and initiatives, in cooperation with public sector bodies or social bodies, with the aim of raising the awareness of the members of the Academic Community regarding the preventive dealing with delinquent behavior, as well as dealing with emergency situations

(x) Keeping a register of all media, electronic systems and technological security equipment installed in the University’s premises as well as drawing up security and disaster response plans, in cooperation with the competent State bodies

(xi) The regulation of any other issue of emergency policy planning, in accordance with the applicable provisions

(xii)  Any other responsibility provided for by relevant provisions of the applicable legislation.
